DEALER SERVICE MANAGER AND WARRANTY ADMINISTRATOR
THE PURPOSE OF THIS BULLETIN IS TO ADVISE RETAIL/WHOLESALE SERVICE PERSONNEL OF THE CHEVROLET/GEO COURTESY TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM, WHILE ALSO OFFERING PROGRAM GUIDELINES AND WARRANTY ADMINISTRATION INFORMATION.
CHEVROLET/GEO ANNOUNCED COURTESY TRANSPORTATION FOR 1994 AND FUTURE MODEL YEARS. IT WAS DESIGNED TO BE USED AS A TOOL TO ASSIST DEALERS IN IMPROVING SERVICE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION AND DEVELOPED FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING ALTERNATE TRANSPORTATION TO CHEVROLET/GEO OWNERS WHO PRESENT THEIR VEHICLE TO A CHEVROLET DEALER FOR WARRANTY REPAIRS. CUSTOMERS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR ALTERNATE TRANSPORTATION AT PARTICIPATING DEALERSHIPS FOR REPAIRS COVERED UNDER THE 3-YEAR/36,000 MILE BUMPER-TO-BUMPER WARRANTY, AT NO EXTRA CHARGE TO THE CUSTOMER.
COURTESY TRANSPORTATION SERVICES INCLUDE:
SAME DAY REPAIRS - FOR ONE-WAY SHUTTLE TRANSPORTATION, UP TO 10 MILES, CHEVROLET/GEO WILL REIMBURSE THE DEALER, UP TO $5.00 PER DAY, FOR EACH CUSTOMER WHO IS PROVIDED SHUTTLE SERVICE.
OVERNIGHT REPAIRS - IF IT HAS BEEN DETERMINED, FOR WHATEVER REASON, THAT AN ELIGIBLE CUSTOMER'S VEHICLE MUST BE LEFT OVERNIGHT TO TO COMPLETE REQUESTED WARRANTY REPAIRS, CHEVROLET/GEO WILL REIMBURSE THE DEALER FOR PROVIDING A RENTAL OR LOANER AS ALTERNATE TRANSPORTATION; ACTUAL COSTS, INCLUDING TAXES, INSURANCE AND MILEAGE, EXCLUDING FUEL, UP TO $30 PER DAY. THIS ALSO INCLUDES PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION SUCH AS CAB FARE, BUS FARE, ETC. A CUSTOMER MAY ALSO BE REIMBURSED FOR RIDES PROVIDED BY ANOTHER INDIVIDUAL, UP TO $10 FOR FUEL EXPENSE.

NON-AD/CSM DEALERS MUST USE A CLAIM TYPE S WITH THE AMOUNT REIMBURSED FOR REPAIRS UTILIZING THE FAILED LABOR OPERATION APPLICABLE COURTESY TRANSPORTATION LABOR OPERATION FOR RENTAL CAR EXPENSE; TWO LINE CLAIM PLACED IN NET AMOUNT.
FOR SAME-DAY SHUTTLE, THE CUSTOMER'S SIGNATURE ON THE REPAIR ORDER AND THE NOTATION "SHUTTLE REQUIRED" ON ALL COPIES OF THE REPAIR ORDER. REIMBURSEMENT BY CHEVROLET TO THE DEALER IS A MAXIMUM OF $5 PER DAY FOR EACH CUSTOMER TRANSPORTED.
FOR OVERNIGHT RENTAL/LOANER CAR - AN ORIGINAL RECEIPT OR RENTAL AGREEMENT COPY ATTACHED TO THE WARRANTY OR "SCRAPPING" COPY OF THE REPAIR ORDER. IN THE EVENT THE DEALER DOES NOT HAVE ACCESS TO A RENTAL COMPANY OR A RENTAL AGREEMENT BUT DOES PROVIDE A VEHICLE, THE CUSTOMER'S SIGNATURE ON THE REPAIR ORDER WITH A STATEMENT NOTING "COURTESY TRANSPORTATION RENTAL" WILL SUFFICE. MAXIMUM REIMBURSEMENT COVERS ACTUAL COSTS UP TO $30 PER DAY, ACTUAL COSTS INCLUDING TAXES, INSURANCE AND MILEAGE, EXCLUDING FUEL.
