Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement Gasoline Engine

Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the coolant from the coolant recovery reservoir.

  2. Object Number: 72739  Size: SH
  3. Remove the coolant recovery hose (5) and clamp (4) from the reservoir.
  4. Disconnect the overflow hose (2) and clamp (4).
  5. Remove the recovery reservoir bolts (1).
  6. Remove the coolant recovery reservoir (3) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 72739  Size: SH
  1. Install the coolant recovery reservoir (3) to the vehicle.
  2. Install the bolts (1).
  3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Connect the coolant overflow hose (2) and clamp (4) to the recovery reservoir.
  5. Connect the coolant recovery hose (5) and clamp (4) to the reservoir.
  6. Refill the coolant in the reservoir.
