Verify the fault is present.

Does the system operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Go to Step 3

1. Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF.
2. With a scan tool select Instrument Panel Cluster, Special Functions, and Lamp Test.
3. Command the Low Fuel message ON.

Does the Low Fuel message turn ON and OFF when commanded?

Go to Fuel Gage Inaccurate or Inoperative

Go to Step 4

Replace the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 5

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you find and correct the condition?

--

System OK
