- Install the fuel injection control module bracket.
- Install the fuel injection control module bracket bolts.
- Install the fuel injection control module (6) with mounting insulators (2).
- Install the fuel injection control module bolts (5).
- Install the eye bolts (4), washers and spacers to the fuel injection control module cooling hoses (3).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the fuel injection control module bracket bolts to 21 N·m
(15 lb ft).
Tighten
Tighten the fuel injection control module bolts to 20 N·m
(14 lb ft).
Lubricate the washers with diesel fuel before installing.
Tighten
Tighten the eye bolts to 34 N·m (25 lb ft).
