Preliminary Procedures Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle . Remove the transfer case shield, if equipped. Refer to Transfer Case Shield Replacement .
1	Vehicle Speed Sensor Notice: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice in the Preface section. Procedure Disconnect vehicle speed sensor electrical connector. Tighten 17 N·m (13 lb ft)
2	Vehicle Speed Sensor O-ring Procedure Lightly lubricate the O-ring with clean DEXRON® VI.

Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
Remove the transfer case shield, if equipped. Refer to Transfer Case Shield Replacement .

Vehicle Speed Sensor

Notice: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice in the Preface section.

Disconnect vehicle speed sensor electrical connector.

Tighten
17 N·m (13 lb ft)

Vehicle Speed Sensor O-ring

Lightly lubricate the O-ring with clean DEXRON® VI.
