The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some owners may comment on the power liftgate being inoperative. When using the Tech 2 to check for DTCs in the PLM (Power Liftgate Module) none will be found.
Recommendation/Instructions:
If after doing basic diagnostics and the concern can not be found check for DTCs in the SIR. Certain SIR DTCs will make the Power Liftgate inoperative. Correct any SIR concern first before performing any extensive Power Liftgate diagnostics.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
