The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Some customer may notice one or all of the following concerns

1. After inserting the map disc, the navigation radio will start to respond slowly to commands (e.g. hardkey press)
2. The Navigation Radio locks up completely.
3. After inserting the map DVD, the Navigation radio may display a DVD read error message

Any of the concerns listed above may be caused by the Navigation radio being unable to read the map DVD due to a suspected defect in the map DVD

If you experience any of the symptoms above, try a DVD map disc from a good known vehicle. If the concern is resolved, replace the DVD map disc.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
