Seat Rattle and/or Hard to Latch and Unlatch (Install Washer)

Some customers may comment on the following conditions with the second row seat:

The condition may be caused by the floor being slightly lower in the middle of the vehicle.

Install a washer under the seat assembly on the outboard rear stud.

1. Place the seat in the up position.
2. Remove the floor covering.
3. Lower the seat slowly to the floor strikers and look to see if one side makes contact with the striker before the other. If the latch to striker is 3 mm or less, install one washer. If greater than 3 mm, install two washers.
4. Remove the bolts and lift the seat assembly to install the washer.
5. Reinstall the nuts and tighten.

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 45 N·m (33 lb ft).

6. Reinstall the floor covering.
