The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some customers may comment on a transmission concern where the MIL is illuminated and DTC P0722 or P0756 along With DTC P2723 may be found in the TCM as active or history codes.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Condition 1: DTC P0722 is set along with DTC P2723. Under certain driving conditions it is possible for DTC P2723 to set as a result of an output speed sensor (oss) fault. Follow SI diagnostics for DTC P0722 first and repair any oss related concerns
prior to addressing DTC P2723.
Condition 2: DTC P0756 set along with P2723. Under certain driving conditions it is possible for DTC P2723 to set as a result of the mode 3 valve being stuck off. Follow SI diagnostics for DTC P0756 first prior to addressing DTC P2723.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
