Replacement of High and Intermediate Voltage Cables

This bulletin is being revised to add the 2009 model year and the 2009 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 07-08-45-005 (Section 08 -- Body and Accessories).

Some vehicles may exhibit impaired or inoperative 300V or 42V systems due to worn or damaged 300V or 42V cables.

Damage to the high or intermediate voltage wiring can come from chafing, slices, overheating, chemical fallout and collision damage.

If the orange high voltage (300V) or the blue intermediate voltage (42V) cables should become compromised, the cables should be replaced. No attempt to repair these cables should ever be made.
