Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the rear wheelhouse inner panel extensions. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Panel Liner Replacement .
2. Remove the side rear bumper step pads. Refer to Rear Bumper Step Outer Pad Replacement .
3. Remove the center rear bumper step pad. Refer to Rear Bumper Step Center Pad Replacement .

Rear Fascia Plastic Retainers (Qty: 2)

Rear Fascia

Important: The spare tire hoist access cover bezel will be destroyed when removing the fascia. The bezel must be replaced.

Tip
Be sure to disconnect any electrical connectors before attempting the removal of the fascia.

Preliminary Procedure

Remove the rear wheelhouse inner panel extensions. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Panel Liner Replacement.

Rear Fascia Bolt (Qty: 2)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
9 N·m (80 lb in)

Rear Fascia Plastic Bolt (Qty: 3)

Procedure

1. Disconnect the rear object detection sensor harness located in the right end of the fascia and any other electrical connectors before attempting removal.
2. Reach between the fascia and the rear quarter panel to loosen the bolts. DO NOT pull on the fascia when reaching to loosen the bolts.

Tighten
9 N·m (80 lb in)

Fascia Assembly

Tip
If replacing the Z-71 fascia, new fender flare holes will need to be drilled as needed.
