Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the linings. Refer to Brake Pads Replacement in this section.

  2. Object Number: 172753  Size: SH
  3. Remove two mounting bolts and the caliper carrier (2) from the vehicle.
  4. Remove two caliper pins, with the boots, from the caliper carrier.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 172753  Size: SH
  1. Install two caliper pins, with boots, to the caliper carrier (2).
  2. Install the caliper carrier (2) to the vehicle.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Secure the caliper carrier with two mounting bolts.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the caliper carrier mounting bolts to 88 N·m (65 lb ft).

  6. Install the linings. Refer to Brake Pads Replacement in this section.
