Seat Belt Height Adjuster Replacement - Front 2 Door

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 487743  Size: SH
  1. Remove the upper center pillar trim. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  2. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
  3. 2.1. The 2 bolts (2)
    2.2. The front seat shoulder belt retractor tension adjuster (3)

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 487743  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the front seat belt shoulder belt retractor tension adjuster (3) to the vehicle. Secure the adjuster with the 2 bolts (2).
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the front seat belt shoulder belt retractor tension adjuster bolts to 35 N·m (25 lb ft).

  3. Install the upper center pillar trim. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the upper center pillar trim. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  2. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
  3. 2.1. The 2 bolts (2)
    2.2. The front seat shoulder belt retractor tension adjuster (1)

    Tighten the front seat belt shoulder belt retractor tension adjuster bolts to 35 N·m (25 lb ft).

  3. Install the upper center pillar trim. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
