Go to Step 2

Go to Symptoms - Instrument Panel, Gages and Console

Verify that the left turn signal indicator is inoperative.

Does the left turn signal indicator operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Go to Step 3

  1. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector C1.
  2. Test for an open in the GRN/RED wire from cavity 8.

Is there an open condition?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Repair the open in the GRN/RED wire from cavity 8.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 9

  1. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector C2.
  2. Test for a short to ground in the BLK wire from cavity 10.

Is there a short to ground condition?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

Repair the short in the BLK wire from cavity 10.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 9

  1. Disconnect the instrument cluster.
  2. Check the instrument cluster printer circuit for any damage.

Is there any damage to the instrument clusters printed circuit?

Go to Step 8

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Replace the instrument panel cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .

Is the replacement complete?

Go to Step 9

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?

System OK
