Spark Plug Wire Inspection for Chevrolet Tracker - 2WD 2002
| • | Inspect the spark plug wires for the following conditions: |
| - | A bent or a broken terminal |
| - | Corrosion or moisture contamination |
| - | Loose or poorly fitting terminals |
| - | Boots for cracks or punctures |
| - | Boots for carbon tracking |
| - | Cable and boot for abnormal swelling or stiffness |
| • |
Measure
the electrical resistance of the spark plug wire (2) with a DMM (1). Resistance
must not be more than 4-10k ohm/m (1.2-3.0k ohm/ft). |
| • | Replace any spark plug wire that fails an inspection or a test. |
