Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 419580  Size: SH
  1. Relieve the fuel pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief .
  2. Remove the throttle body. Refer to Throttle Body Assembly Replacement .
  3. Remove the fuel return line (2).
  4. Remove vacuum line (4).
  5. Remove the retaining bolts (1).
  6. Remove the fuel pressure regulator (5).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 419580  Size: SH
  1. Install a new O-ring.
  2. Apply a thin coat of oil to the O-ring.
  3. Install the fuel pressure regulator (5).
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the retaining bolts (1).
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the retaining bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  7. Install the throttle body. Refer to Throttle Body Assembly Replacement .
  8. Reconnect the fuel return line (2).
  9. Reconnect the vacuum line (4).
  10. Start the engine.
  11. Check for leaks and repair as necessary.
