When the ignition switch is turned to the ON position battery voltage is applied to the AIR BAG indicator and to the ignition 1 voltage input at the inflatable restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM). The SDM responds by flashing the AIR BAG indicator seven times.
Ignition 1 voltage is within the normal operating voltage range.
The voltage at the AIR BAG indicator output does not match the commanded state of the lamp driver for 500 milliseconds.
The SDM attempts to command the AIR BAG indicator ON.
