Removal Procedure
- Remove the following components from the vehicle:
- Remove the front seat belt retractor lower anchor bolt (2).
- Remove the rear seat back cushion in order to gain the necessary access to remove the rear quarter lower trim panel (1). Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.
- Remove the plastic retainer (3) which secures the rear quarter lower trim panel (1).
- Pull and remove the rear quarter lower trim panel (1) from the vehicle by disengaging the plastic retainers.

Installation Procedure
- Install the rear quarter lower trim panel (1) to the vehicle. Press the panel into place ensuring that the plastic retainers are fully engaged.
- Install the plastic retainer (3) which secures the rear quarter lower trim panel (1).
- Install the rear seat back cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.
- Install the front seat belt retractor lower anchor bolt (2).
- Install the front side door sill trim plate (1) to the vehicle. Secure the trim plate with the 4 plastic retainers (2).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the front seat belt retractor lower anchor bolt to 35 N·m
(25 lb ft).
