Did you review the Interior Lighting Systems Description and Operation and perform the necessary inspections?

Verify that the Dome Lamp is inoperative.

Does the Dome Lamp operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

Test for an open condition from cavity 1 of the Dome Lamp assembly to a good ground.

Does a short to ground condition exist?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Repair the open in the ground circuit from cavity 1 to S300. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 12

Test for an open in the battery voltage circuit between the Junction Block C1 cavity 9 and the DRL Control Module cavity 5.

Does an open condition exist?

Go to Step 6

Repair the open in the dome lamp supply voltage circuit between the junction block and the dome lamp. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 12

With the key in the ignition, test for an open in the WHT wire between the DRL Module cavity 12 and S267.

Does an open condition exist?

Go to Step 8

Repair the open in the dome lamp supply voltage circuit between the DRL Module and S267. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 12

Test for an open between the Dome Lamp cavity 3 and S302 to the door jamb switches.

Does an open condition exist?

Go to Step 10

Repair the dome lamp switch circuit and or replace the faulty door jamb switch. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 12

Replace the dome lamp assembly. Refer to Dome Lamp Replacement .

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Test for an open in the battery positive voltage circuit between the Junction Block C1 cavity 9 and the DRL Control Module cavity 5.

Does an open condition exist?

Go to Step 6

Repair the open in the battery positive voltage circuit between the junction block and the dome lamp. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 12

With the key in the ignition, test for an open in the dome lamp supply voltage circuit between the DRL Module cavity 12 and S267.

Does an open condition exist?

Test for an open between the Dome Lamp cavity 3 and S302 to the door jamb switches.
