Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the cruise control module cover (1).

  2. Object Number: 488533  Size: SH
  3. Loosen the cruise control servo cable locknut (5).
  4. Remove the cruise control servo cable (3) from the cruise control servo assembly (1).

  5. Object Number: 488527  Size: MH
  6. Disconnect the cruise control servo assembly electrical connector.
  7. Remove the 3 bolts (2) and the cruise control servo assembly (6) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 488527  Size: MH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the cruise control servo assembly (6) to the vehicle. Secure the assembly with the 3 bolts (2).
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the cruise control servo assembly mounting bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb ft).

  3. Connect the cruise control servo assembly electrical connector.

  5. Install the cruise control servo cable (3) to the cruise control actuator lever (1).
  6. Adjust the cruise control servo cable locknuts (5) in order to adjust the cruise control servo cable play.
  7. Adjust the cruise control servo cable play to 1-2 mm (0.04-0.08 in) at the servo closed throttle position.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the cruise control cable locknut (5) to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  9. Install the cruise control module cover (1).
