Front Fender Flare Extension Replacement ZR2 Model

1. Remove the front fender liner. Refer to Fender Liner Replacement in Body Front End.
2. Remove the 6 retaining nuts (1) that retain the front fender flare extension.



3. Remove the front fender flare extension (1) from the front bumper fascia (2).



4. Remove the 3 stud retaining brackets (1) from the front fender flare extension (2).

1. Install the 3 stud retaining brackets (1) to the front fender flare extension (2).



2. Install the front fender flare extension (1) to the front bumper fascia (2).




Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

3. Install the 6 retaining nuts (1) that retain the front fender flare extension to the front bumper fascia.

Tighten
Tighten the flare extension retaining nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

4. Install the front fender liner. Refer to Fender Liner Replacement in Body Front End.
