Gently pry the rear wheel opening door
flare (1) in a upward direction in order to disengage the flare from
the 4 plastic retainers.
Remove the flare (1) from the rear door (2).
Remove the 4 plastic retainers (1)
from the rear door (2).
Remove any adhesive tape (2) that
remains on the rear door or on the flare (1) if the flare is to be
reused.
Clean the rear side door where the flare (1) is to be mounted.
Use a suitable solvent, such as a mixture of 50 percent isopropyl alcohol
and 50 percent water, or equivalent.
Install the 4 plastic
retainers (1) to the rear wheel opening door flare (2). Replace
any retainers that were damaged in the removal process.
Important: Apply the adhesive tape to the flare in an environment free of dust
or dirt so that it does not come in contact with the sticky backing and prevent
proper adhesion.
Install adhesive tape (2) to the flare (1).
If the vehicle body is below 21°C (70°F) due to the shop
temperature or the outside temperature, use a auxiliary heat source in order
to warm the rear side door before proceeding to the next step.
Remove the adhesive tape (2) release sheet.
Install the flare (1) to the rear
door (2) using the plastic retainers as a guide. Make certain that
the retainers are completely engaged.
Apply pressure along the bottom of the flare (1) in order
to bond the flare to the rear side door.
