Power Door Locks Inoperative - One Door or Switch Left Front

Verify that the left front door lock is inoperative.

Is only the left front door lock inoperative?

Go to Step 3

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

  1. Disconnect the left front door lock connector.
  2. Connect a test lamp between terminal 2 and ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate with the door lock switch in the LOCK position?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 8

Connect a test lamp between terminal 3 and ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate with the door lock switch in the UNLOCK position?

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 5

  1. Connect the left front door lock connector.
  2. Disconnect the remote control door lock receiver.
  3. Ground terminal A of the remote control door lock receiver with a fused jumper wire.
  4. Unlock the door.

Does the door lock when the door lock switch is in the LOCK position?

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the remote control door lock receiver. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the left front door lock. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the open in the BLU wire between the left front door lock and S224. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in the BLU/RED wire between the left front door lock and the remote control door lock receiver. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the remote control door lock receiver. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement .

Replace the left front door lock. Refer to Front Side Door Lock Replacement .
