Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 473522 Size: SH
  1. Remove the rear door trim panel seal. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement .
  2. Open the rear door lock cylinder control rod retainer (3).
  3. Remove the rear door lock cylinder control rod (4) from the rear door lock cylinder (2).
  4. Disconnect the rear door lock cylinder switch electrical connector, if equipped.
  5. Remove the rear door lock cylinder retainer (1) which secures the lock cylinder (2).
  6. Remove the rear door lock cylinder (2) from the rear door.
  7. Remove the rear door lock cylinder switch from the lock cylinder by gently releasing the 2 tabs which secure the switch, if equipped.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 473522 Size: SH
  1. Install the rear door lock cylinder switch to the rear door lock cylinder, if equipped. Ensure that the retaining tabs are fully engaged.
  2. Install the rear door lock cylinder (2) to the rear door. Secure the lock cylinder with the retainer (1).
  3. Connect the rear door lock cylinder switch electrical connector, if equipped.
  4. Install the rear door lock cylinder control rod (4) to the lock cylinder (2).
  5. Close the rear door lock cylinder control rod retainer (3).
  6. Install the rear door trim panel seal. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement .
