Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 470267  Size: SH
  1. Loosen the hose clamp on the brake booster vacuum hose (11).
  2. Remove the hose from the booster (8).
  3. Loosen the hose clamp that retains the booster vacuum hose to the intake manifold.
  4. Remove the hose from the intake manifold.
  5. Remove the 2 bolts that retain the booster vacuum pipe to the cowl.
  6. Remove the 2 booster vacuum hoses and the booster vacuum pipe from the vehicle.
  7. If necessary, loosen the hose clamps and remove the 2 hoses from the pipe.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the 2 vacuum booster hoses to the vacuum booster pipe.
  2. Install the 2 hose clamps in order to retain the hoses to the pipe.
  3. Install the 2 hoses and the pipe to the cowl.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the 2 bolts in order to retain the pipe to the cowl.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (7.5 lb ft).

  7. Install the booster vacuum hose to the intake manifold.
  8. Install the hose clamp in order to retain the hose to the manifold.

  10. Install the booster vacuum hose (11) to the booster (8).
  11. Install the hose clamp in order to retain the hose to the booster.
