For 1990-2009 cars only
- Inspect the caliper (1) for fluid leaks. If the caliper leaks fluid, refer to Brake Caliper Overhaul .
- Inspect the caliper boots. Replace the boots if necessary.
- Inspect the caliper slide pins for smooth movement.
- If the caliper slide pins do not move smoothly, apply silicone lubricant, GM P/N 1801908, or the equivalent, to the slide pins.
- Inspect the caliper piston boot for cracks and damage. If the caliper piston boot is cracked or damaged, refer to Brake Caliper Overhaul .
