ABS Relay Test

Cycles the system relay to check component operation. If a malfunction is detected, the EBCM will set DTCs, and the ABS indicator will turn ON. The relay is integral to the EBCM and is not serviceable separately.

ABS Warning Lamp

Lamp Tests

This test allows activation of the instrument panel indicators. The test aids in diagnosing indicator malfunctions. The test allows the operator to flash the indicators ON and OFF manually. All of the indicators in the instrument panel will flash at the same time.

Automated Bleed

The Automated Bleed mode of the scan tool is used during bleeding of the ABS system. Refer to Antilock Brake System Automated Bleed Procedure .

Automated Test

--

This test cycles each solenoid valve and the pump motor in order to verify component operation. This test is identical to the Initialization Sequence the EBCM performs on itself when the ignition switch is turned to the ON position. If a malfunction is detected, the EBCM will set the appropriate DTC(s). The DTCs will be displayed upon completion of the test.
