Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 648079  Size: SH
  1. Remove the nut from the top of the engine mount.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  3. Support the engine using an engine support stand.
  4. Remove the 2 nuts from the bottom of the engine mount.
  5. Raise the engine slightly in order to provide clearance for the engine mount assembly removal.
  6. Remove the left side engine mount.
  7. Remove the 1 bolt and the oil level indicator and tube (if necessary).
  8. Remove the 4 bolts and the engine block bracket (if necessary).
  9. Remove the 4 bolts and the body mount bracket (if necessary).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 648079  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the body mount bracket (if removed).
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the 4 bolts to 85 N·m (62 lb ft).

  3. Install the engine block bracket (if removed).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the 4 bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  5. Install the oil level indicator and tube (if removed).
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the 1 bolt to 11 N·m (8 lb ft).

  7. Install the left side engine mount.
  8. Lower the engine.
  9. Install the 2 left side engine mount nuts.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the 2 nuts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  11. Lower the vehicle.
  12. Install the upper engine mount nut.
  13. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
