Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 471178  Size: SH
  1. Remove the air inlet duct (1) from the air cleaner cover.
  2. Release the 4 retaining clips (2) on the air cleaner cover .
  3. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) system vent hose from the air cleaner cover.
  4. Remove the air cleaner cover.

  6. Remove the 3 bolts (1) retaining the air cleaner lower assembly .
  7. Remove the air cleaner lower assembly (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 471181  Size: SH
  1. Install the air cleaner lower assembly (2) to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Secure the air cleaner lower assembly with the 3 bolts (1).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the air cleaner cover.

  7. Secure the air cleaner cover with the retaining clips (2).
  8. Connect the EVAP system vent hose to the air cleaner cover.
  9. Connect the air inlet duct (1) to the air cleaner assembly.
