Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Inlet Hose Replacement 2.0L
Removal Procedure
Important: The power steering fluid reservoir inlet pipe includes an inlet hose and an inlet pipe. The inlet hose connects the reservoir to the inlet pipe. The inlet pipe connects the inlet hose to the power steering gear outlet hose.
- Loosen the power steering fluid reservoir inlet hose clamp at the power steering gear outlet hose (5).
- Place a drain pan under the vehicle in order to catch any escaping fluid.
Notice: Refer to Power Steering Hose Disconnected Notice in the Preface section.
- Remove the power steering fluid reservoir inlet pipe (6) from the power steering gear outlet hose.
- Remove the 3 bolts from the 3 power steering fluid reservoir inlet pipe clamps.
- Loosen the reservoir inlet hose clamp at the reservoir (1).
- Remove the reservoir inlet hose from the reservoir.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Refer to Installing Hoses without Twists or Bends Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the reservoir inlet hose (5) to the reservoir (6).
- Install the hose clamp in order to retain the hose to the reservoir.
- Install the reservoir inlet pipe (6) to the power steering gear outlet hose (5).
- Install the hose clamp in order to retain the pipe to the hose.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the 3 bolts to the 3 pipe clamps.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 11 N·m (8 lb ft).

- Add power steering fluid to the reservoir. Refer to
Checking and Adding Power Steering Fluid

- Bleed the power steering system. Refer to

Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Inlet Hose Replacement 2.5L
Removal Procedure
Important: The power steering fluid reservoir inlet pipe includes an inlet hose and an inlet pipe. The inlet hose connects the reservoir to the inlet pipe. The inlet pipe connects the inlet hose to the power steering gear outlet hose.
- Loosen the hose clamp that retains the power steering fluid reservoir inlet pipe (6) to the power steering gear outlet hose (5).
- Place a drain pan under the vehicle in order to catch any escaping fluid.
Notice: Refer to Power Steering Hose Disconnected Notice in the Preface section.
- Remove the power steering fluid reservoir inlet pipe from the power steering gear outlet hose.
- Remove the 3 bolts that retain the power steering fluid reservoir inlet pipe clamps to the vehicle.
- Loosen the hose clamp that retains the reservoir inlet hose to the reservoir (1).
- Remove the reservoir inlet hose from the reservoir.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Refer to Installing Hoses without Twists or Bends Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the reservoir inlet hose (5) to the reservoir (6).
- Install the hose clamp in order to retain the hose to the reservoir.
- Install the reservoir inlet pipe (6) to the power steering gear outlet hose (5).
- Install the hose clamp in order to retain the reservoir inlet pipe to the gear outlet hose.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the 3 bolts in order to retain the reservoir inlet pipe clamps to the vehicle.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 11 N·m (8 lb ft).

- Add power steering fluid to the reservoir. Refer to
