Removal Procedure
Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in the Preface section.
Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing
any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to
the vehicle or its components.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Disconnect the blower motor electrical connector.
- Remove the PCM. Refer to
Powertrain Control Module Replacement
in Engine Controls - 2.0 L or to
Powertrain Control Module Replacement
in Engine
Controls - 2.5 L.
- Remove
3 screws and the blower motor and fan (4) from the blower case.
- If necessary to remove the blower case, refer to
Heater Case Replacement
.
Installation Procedure
- Install
the blower motor and fan (4) to the blower case. Secure the blower motor with
3 screws.
- Install the PCM. Refer to
Powertrain Control Module Replacement
in Engine Controls - 2.0 L
or to
Powertrain Control Module Replacement
in Engine Controls - 2.5 L.
- Connect the blower motor electrical connector.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
