Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .
  2. Remove the front differential actuator pump assembly from the front bumper impact bar. Refer to Electric Motor Actuator Replacement in Front Drive Axle.
  3. Remove the 2 bolts and the front bumper center lower mounting bracket.
  4. Remove the 4 bolts and the front bumper impact bar from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the front bumper impact bar to the vehicle. Secure the impact bar with the 4 bolts.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the front bumper impact bar bolts to 27 N·m (20 lb ft).

  3. Install the front bumper center lower mounting bracket to the vehicle. Secure the bracket with the 2 bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the front bumper center lower mounting bracket bolts to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).

  5. Install the front differential actuator pump assembly to the front bumper impact bar. Refer to Electric Motor Actuator Replacement in Front Drive Axle.
  6. Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .
