Removal Procedure
- Open the front side door
in order to gain access to the rear side door lower hinge bolts (2,
3).
- Mark the position of the rear side door lower hinge (1)
to the rear side door and the door jamb.
- Remove the 2 bolts (3) which secure the lower hinge (1)
to the door.

to the door jamb.
- Remove the lower hinge (1) from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the rear side
door lower hinge (1) to the vehicle by aligning the hinge with the
marks made during the removal procedure. Secure the hinge to the door jamb
with the 2 bolts (2). Do not tighten fully at this time.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the 2 bolts (3)
which secure the lower hinge (1) to the door.
Tighten
Tighten the rear side door lower hinge bolts to 27 N·m
(19 lb ft).
- Close the front side door.
