Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 488132  Size: SH
  1. Remove the rear seat back cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement or Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement .
  2. Remove the following components from the rear seat recliner (1):
  3. 2.1. The screw (3)
    2.2. The rear seat recliner outside lower finish cover (2)

  4. Open the rear seat hinge torque rod clamp (4). Remove the rear seat back hinge rod (3) from the seat recliner (1).
  5. Remove the following components from the seat back cushion:
  6. 4.1. The 2 bolts (2)
    4.2. The rear seat recliner (1)

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 488134  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the rear seat recliner (1) to the seat back cushion. Secure the recliner with the 2 bolts (2).
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the rear seat recliner bolts to 35 N·m (25 lb ft).

  3. Install the rear seat back hinge rod (3) to the seat recliner (1). Close the rear seat hinge torque rod clamp (4).

  5. Install the rear seat recliner outside lower finish cover (2) to the rear seat recliner (1). Secure the cover with the screw (3).
  6. Install the rear seat back cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement or Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement .
