Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fuel tank from the vehicle. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 245336  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the 2 vapor hoses from the pressure control valve.
  4. Remove the fastener and the pressure control valve from the fuel tank.
  5. Remove the pressure control valve from the sleeve (3).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the pressure control valve into the sleeve (3).
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the pressure control valve to the fuel tank, and secure the valve with the fastener.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the fastener to 1.2 N·m (11 lb in).

  5. Connect the vapor hose from the EVAP canister to the orange side or to the green side (2) of the pressure control valve.
  6. Connect the vapor hose from the fuel tank to the black side (1) of the pressure control valve.
  7. Install the fuel tank to the vehicle. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement .
