Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 675934  Size: SH
  1. Relieve the fuel pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief .
  2. Disconnect the vacuum hose (1) from the fuel pressure regulator.
  3. Remove the two bolts (2) from the fuel pressure regulator.

  4. Object Number: 675923  Size: SH
  5. Remove the fuel pressure regulator (1) from the fuel rail (2).

  6. Object Number: 675919  Size: SH
  7. Disconnect the fuel pressure regulator (2) from the fuel return hose (1).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 675919  Size: SH
  1. Connect the fuel return hose (1) to the fuel pressure regulator (2).

  2. Object Number: 675923  Size: SH
  3. Install a new O-ring (3) on the fuel pressure regulator (1).
  4. Apply a thin coat of oil to the O-ring (3) in order to ease installation.
  5. Install the fuel pressure regulator (1) into the fuel rail (2).

  6. Object Number: 675934  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Secure the fuel pressure regulator to the fuel rail with the two bolts (2).
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  9. Connect the vacuum line (1) to the fuel pressure regulator.
  10. Connect the battery.
  11. Turn ON the ignition, leaving the engine OFF.
  12. Turn ON the fuel pump with the scan tool.
  13. Check for fuel leaks and repair as necessary.
