Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 683995  Size: SH
  1. Remove the fuel tank from the vehicle. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the fuel tank pressure and fuel vapor temperature sensor.
  3. Remove the two fasteners (1).
  4. Remove the sensor (2) from the fuel tank.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 683995  Size: SH
  1. Install the fuel tank pressure and fuel vapor temperature sensor (2) with a new o-ring seal  (3) to the fuel tank.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Secure the sensor with the two fasteners (1).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 3.5 N·m (30 lb in).

  5. Connect the electrical connector to the sensor.
  6. Install the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement .
