Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the front
seat belt buckle (5) to the front seat inner adjuster (3). Secure
the buckle with the anchor bolt (4).
Tighten
Tighten the front seat belt buckle anchor bolt to 35 N·m
(25 lb ft).
- Install the seat belt
switch wiring harness to the retainers which secure it to the seat cushion
frame.
- Install the front seat inner adjuster finish cover (1)
to the front seat inner adjuster (2). Secure the finish cover with
the 2 screws (3).
- Install the front seat assembly. Refer to
Front Seat Replacement - Bucket
in Seats.
- Install the front seat
belt (3) to the vehicle. Secure the seat belt with the following fasteners:
Tighten
Tighten the front seat belt mounting bolt to 35 N·m (25 lb ft).
- Install the front seat
belt lower anchor bolt (3)
Tighten
Tighten the front seat belt lower anchor bolt to 35 N·m
(25 lb ft).
- Install the shoulder guide
anchor bolt (2) which secures the front seat belt (4) to the
center pillar.
Tighten
Tighten the front seat belt shoulder guide anchor bolt to 35 N·m
(25 lb ft).
- Close the shoulder guide trim cover (1).
- Install the center pillar lower trim. Refer to
Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement
in Interior Trim.
