Front Bumper Fascia Replacement Rainier

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the grille. Refer to Grille Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 740666  Size: SH
  3. Remove the 2 bolts that retain the top of the fascia to the headlamp housing panel.
  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

  5. Object Number: 740663  Size: SH
  6. Remove the push-pins (3) that retain the fascia to the fascia support rods (2).
  7. Remove the fog lamps from the fascia. Refer to Front Fog Lamp Replacement .
  8. Remove the cornering lamps from the fascia. Refer to Cornering Lamp Replacement .
  9. Remove the air deflector from the fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Replacement .
  10. Release the body side attachment tabs and pull the fascia straight forward in order to remove the fascia from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 740663  Size: SH
  1. Position the fascia to the vehicle, ensuring that the body side attachment tabs are fully seated.
  2. Install the push-pins (3) that retain the fascia to the fascia support rods (2).
  3. Install the air deflector to the fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Replacement .
  4. Install the cornering lamps. Refer to Cornering Lamp Replacement .
  5. Install the fog lamps. Refer to Front Fog Lamp Replacement .
  6. Lower the vehicle.

  7. Object Number: 740665  Size: SH
  8. Install the push-pin in the upper center of the fascia.
  9. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  10. Install the 2 bolts that retain the top of the fascia to the headlamp housing panel.
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  12. Install the grille. Refer to Grille Replacement .

Front Bumper Fascia Replacement Bravada

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the grille. Refer to Grille Replacement in Exterior Trim.

  2. Object Number: 740666  Size: SH
  3. Remove the 2 bolts that retain the top of the fascia to the headlamp housing panel.
  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  5. Object Number: 740663  Size: SH
  6. Remove the push-pins (3) that retain the fascia to the fascia support rods (2).
  7. Remove the fog lamps from the fascia. Refer to Front Fog Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  8. Remove the cornering lamps from the fascia. Refer to Cornering Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  9. Remove the air deflector from the fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Replacement .

  10. Object Number: 740666  Size: SH
  11. Remove the 4 push-pins that retain the bottom of the fascia to the air dam.
  12. Release the body side attachment tabs and pull the fascia straight forward in order to remove the fascia from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the fascia to the vehicle, ensuring that the body side attachment tabs are fully seated.
  2. Install the 4 push-pins that retain the bottom of the fascia to the air dam.

  3. Object Number: 740663  Size: SH
  4. Install the push-pins (3) that retain the fascia to the fascia support rods (2).
  5. Install the air deflector to the fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Replacement .
  6. Install the cornering lamps. Refer to Cornering Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  7. Install the fog lamps. Refer to Front Fog Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  8. Lower the vehicle.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  10. Install the 2 bolts that retain the top of the fascia to the headlamp housing panel.
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  12. Install the grille. Refer to Grille Replacement in Exterior Trim.

Front Bumper Fascia Replacement Envoy, Envoy XUV

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the grille. Refer to Grille Replacement in Exterior Trim.

  2. Object Number: 740665  Size: SH
  3. Remove the 2 bolts that retain the top of the fascia to the headlamp housing panel.
  4. Remove the push-pin that retains the top of the fascia to the headlamp housing panel.
  5. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  7. Remove the push-pins (3) that retain the fascia to the fascia support rods (2).
  8. Remove the fog lamps from the fascia. Refer to Front Fog Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  9. Remove the cornering lamps from the fascia. Refer to Cornering Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  10. Remove the air deflector. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Replacement .

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the grille. Refer to Grille Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 740665  Size: SH
  3. Remove the 2 bolts that retain the top of the fascia to the headlamp housing panel.
  4. Remove the push-pin that retains the top of the fascia to the headlamp housing panel.
  5. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

  7. Remove the push-pins (3) that retain the fascia to the fascia support rods (2).
  8. Remove the fog lamps from the fascia. Refer to Front Fog Lamp Replacement .
  9. Remove the air deflector. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Replacement .

  11. Remove the 4 push-pins that retain the bottom of the fascia to the headlamp housing panel.
  12. Release the body side attachment tabs and pull the fascia straight forward from the wheelhouse opening in order to remove the fascia from the vehicle.

  1. Position the fascia to the vehicle, ensuring that the body side attachment tabs are fully seated.
  2. Install the 4 push-pins that retain the bottom of the fascia to the headlamp housing panel.

  3. Object Number: 740663  Size: SH
  4. Install the push-pins (3) that retain the fascia to the fascia support rods (2).
  5. Install the air defector. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Replacement .
  6. Install the fog lamps. Refer to Front Fog Lamp Replacement .
  7. Lower the vehicle.

    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
