Rear Side Door Window Replacement TrailBlazer, Envoy, Bravada
Important: When ordering a windshield or door windows, verify if the vehicles is equipped with or without CE1 (RAINSENSE™) or Y91 (RAINSENSE™ and luxury edition) and order accordingly. The windshield and door windows
have Quiet Tuning acoustic lamination. Due to the difference in processing, along with the difference in the curvature of the window, the optics of the window may appear wavy on a cross-car view from the outside of the vehicle. This is a normal condition and
the windshield should not be replaced for this condition. The view through the window from the driver's position is clear and not affected.
Removal Procedure
- Remove the door trim panel. Refer to

- Remove the water deflector. Refer to

- Remove the outer belt sealing strip. Refer to
Rear Side Door Window Outer Sealing Strip Replacement
.
- Adjust the window to the remove/load position (2).
- Mark the location of the window at the regulator clamps.
- Loosen the 2 regulator clamp bolts.
Caution: When working with any type of glass or sheet metal with exposed or rough
edges, wear approved safety glasses and gloves in order to reduce
the chance of personal injury.
- In order to remove the window out of the frame, carefully grasp and tilt the window as you guide the window up and forward.
- Remove the window from the door.
Installation Procedure
- With the regulator in the remove/load position (2), install the window to the door.
- Tilt the window forward and carefully guide the window into the rear run channel.
- Position the window to an upright position. Ensure that the window is seated into the run channels.
- Lower and position the window into the regulator clamps at the alignment marks previously made.
- Loosely tighten the regulator clamp bolts.
Important: Do not operate the regulator motor without supporting the window. Ensure that the window remains in the run channels when operating the regulator motor.
- Carefully move the regulator upward for short slow intervals, while ensuring that the window remains in the run channels.
- Position the window to a fully secure position (1) into the upper door weatherstrip.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Tighten the 2 regulator clamp nuts.
Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 10 N·m (88 lb in).
- Lower the window to the full down position.
- Install the outer belt sealing strip. Refer to

- Install the water deflector. Refer to

- Install the door trim panel. Refer to

- Remove the water deflector. Refer to

- Remove the outer belt sealing strip. Refer to

- Remove the window regulator. Refer to

- Carefully lower the window (3) down into the door.
- Remove the window weatherstrip run channel assembly. Refer to

- Remove the window out though the top of the door.
Installation Procedure
- Install the rear door window between the inner and the outer door panels.
- Position the rear door window in the bottom of the door.
- Install the window weatherstrip run channel assembly. Refer to

- Align the window (3) into the weatherstrip run channel (4) while raising the window into the full up position.
- Tape the window to the window frame in the full up position.
- Install the window regulator. Refer to

Important: Do NOT allow the sealing lips on the outer belt sealing strip to roll over and point downwards. If this condition is present the window will not raise properly.
- Install the outer belt sealing strip. Refer to

- Install the water deflector. Refer to

- Install the trim panel. Refer to
