Removal Procedure
- Remove the seat assembly from the vehicle. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
- Remove the seat trim panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .
- Remove the seat back cover and pad. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement .
- Pull the cover half-way up the seat back.
- Remove the lumbar cable (2) from the cable clip (1) located on the lower seat back.
- Pull the seat back panel and pad away from the frame to expose the lumbar mechanism.
- Remove the cable from the lumbar spring.
- Unhook the cable end from the lumbar mechanism.
- Remove 2 screws (1) securing the cable to the seat adjuster.
Installation Procedure
- Hook the cable end into the lumbar mechanism.
- Install the cable to the lumbar spring.
- Install the lumbar cable (2) in the cable clip (1) located on the lower seat back.
- Install 2 screws (1) securing the cable to the seat adjuster.
- Install the seat back cover and pad. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement .
- Install the seat trim panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .
- Install the seat assembly to the vehicle. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
Tighten
Tighten the lumbar cable screws to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
