When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Condition/Concern:

4.2L LL8 engine oil leak that appears to be coming from the engine intake plenum gasket area.

Recommendation/Instructions:

Now that you have confirmed this vehicle has a complaint of an engine oil leak that appears to be coming from the intake plenum gasket area at PCV port and you have completed the published diagnostics, be sure to check the engine crankcase for pressure using a manometer and for any restrictions in the PCV system. If no cause is found after completing the above checks, replace the cylinder head to correct for the engine oil leak.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance.
