The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI.
Condition/Concern:
On rare occasions, a SES Light may be encountered due to a P0130 DTC.
Recommendation/Instructions:
If the P0130 SI diagnostics do not isolate the cause, install the latest PCM calibrations. As of February 23, 2004, all available TIS2000 PCM calibrations contain O2 sensor diagnostic enhancements. Also, replace the Position 1 O2 sensor with Part Number 12577588, which contains an updated connector.
Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
