The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

After replacing and programming the Passenger Door Module (PDM), it may be noted that the curb assist feature in the passenger door can no longer be programmed to a specific positions when the vehicle is placed into reverse. This is due to a change in software in the PDM to prevent "wandering mirrors". The new PDM and software is designed so when the curb assist feature is activated in reverse, the mirror will tilt to a predetermined position and return to the previous position in all other gear selections.

Note: For the curb assist feature to be functional, the feature must be turned on in the DIC.

Recommendation/Instructions:

This is a normal operating characteristic. No repairs are to be attempted.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
