When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Condition/Concern:

When using the OnStar Blue button the radio mutes and the LED flashes and there is only static when trying to connect. During the condition with the Tech 2 connected, you cannot communicate with the data screens, but can read codes and perform special functions. No DTCs are present and the setup procedure does not correct the condition.

Recommendation/Instructions:

Inspect for and repair a bent pin in circuit 367. This circuit is found in SI document 869905 and is brown with a white stripe. This is the left remote radio audio signal wire.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
