Condition
Some customers may comment that the IP gauges are difficult to read during certain sunlight conditions usually at dusk or dawn.
Cause
The white background of the IP cluster may reflect sunlight resulting in the gauges being difficult to read.
Correction
Important: These new clusters will have a black background, please make sure the customer is aware of this before replacing the cluster.
Replace the IP cluster using the part numbers listed below. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Replacement procedure in the Instrument Panel and Console sub-section of the Service Manual (SI Document ID #1523655).

DO NOT order new clusters from GMSPO. Order exchange clusters from the Electronic Service Center (I & D Centre in Canada) for your area, as the odometer has to be properly set before installation in the vehicle.
