B3606 Heated Seat(s) Inoperative and/or Adjustable Pedals Do Not Recall - keywords adjust back bottom heat heater pedal seat sensor

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Heated seat(s) inoperative and/or adjustable pedals do not recall by driver 1 or 2. This concern is related to a vehicle that has both RPO KA1 (heated seats and JF4 (power adjustable pedals). Also inspect for DTC B3606 in the Seat Control Module (SCM).

Please follow the instructions below:

1. Confirm the vehicle is equipped with RPO KA1 (heated seats) and JF4 (power adjustable pedals)
2. Check for DTCs in the seat control module (SCM). Document then clear all DTCs. Follow diagnostics for any current DTC that will not clear.
3. Unplug the pedal position sensor.
4. If the heated seat begins to work with the pedal position sensor unplugged, replace the pedal position sensor with part number 88982977.
5. If the seat does not begin to work, leave the pedal position senor unplugged and refer to eSI Document ID # 1479481 to follow the published diagnostics.
6. Once the heated seats have been repaired, reconnect the pedal position sensor and re-evaluate the adjustable pedal operation.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
