Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1208412 Size: SH
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Remove the spare tire, wheel and jack.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the theft deterrent alarm (3).
  4. Remove the theft deterrent alarm mounting nut (1) from the crossmember support (2).
  5. Remove the theft deterrent alarm  (3) from the crossmember support (2).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1208412 Size: SH
  1. Install the theft deterrent alarm (3) to the crossmember support (2).

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the theft deterrent alarm (3) to the crossmember support (2) with mounting nut (1).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  3. Connect the electrical connector to theft deterrent alarm (3).
  4. Install the spare tire, wheel and jack.
  5. Lower the vehicle.
