DEFINITION: The objective of this check is to identify and repair potential sources of problems with the air replenishment cycle.

  1. Unload the vehicle completely
  2. Turn the ignition switch to RUN and wait approximately 40 seconds.

Does the compressor run for more than 7 seconds?

Perform the electrical check in chart 6 in Electrical Diagnosis.

Is the repair complete?

Does the compressor run for less than 1½ second or not at all?

Perform the electrical check in chart 4 in Electrical Diagnosis.

Is the repair complete?

Do the shock air sleeves slightly inflate after a cycle? Do the air sleeves stay slightly inflated?

Perform the Air Path Check. Refer to Air Compressor Leak Test .

Replace the dryer

Is the repair complete?

  1. Check for poor connections or damage at the automatic level control sensor.
  2. Check the automatic level control sensor adjustment. Refer to Air Compressor Leak Test .

  1. Replace the automatic level control sensor.
  2. Perform the system operation check in order to verify the repair.
