Preliminary Procedures

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
2. Drain the transmission, refill when repair is completed. Refer to Transmission Fluid Replacement.
3. Remove the left transmission mount bracket. Refer to Transmission Mount Bracket Replacement - Left Side.

Input Speed Sensor Bolt M6 x 25

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Procedure

Apply threadlocker GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) or equivalent to the input speed sensor bolt.

Tighten
9 N·m (80 lb in)

Input Speed Sensor (ISS)

Procedure

Pull the ISS out of the case cover just far enough to gain access to the ISS seal.
